Important Information for Administrators
Your GovDash team authentication settings must include GovDash OTP in order for users to be able to sign in with 2FA. You can configure your authentication settings in the Authentication settings in GovDash.
Setup
To setup two-factor authentication on your account, navigate to the Security settings page.
Select Enable 2FA to generate your unique code/QR code
Enter/Scan the QR code within your preferred authenticator app (Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.) and not your device’s camera app.
Complete the registration within your authenticator app and enter the 6-digit code provided in your authenticator app to complete registration within GovDash.
GovDash will provide you with a recovery code. This code can be used to remove your authenticator from your account in the event that you lose your authenticator.
Please be sure to record this recovery code and keep it safely within your records.
You may regenerate a new recovery code at any time using the Regenerate recovery code button within Security settings, but this requires you to enter a code from your authenticator to generate a new one.

Why use two-factor authentication?
Two-factor authentication adds an additional layer of security by requiring a time-based code from your authenticator app in addition to your login token. This helps protect your account even if your login token is compromised.
Logging in with 2FA
To login with 2FA:
First, enter your email address at the login prompt.
Enter your emailed one-time passcode.
Next, enter your 6-digit code from your authenticator.
Recovering/Disabling Your Authenticator
Using Your Recovery Code
If you’ve lost access to your authenticator, you can disable it using your recovery code from the login process using the Lost access to your authenticator? option. This will request your recovery code, which will disable and remove 2FA from your account.
