Enter/Scan the QR code within your preferred authenticator app (Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.) and **not your device’s camera app**. 3. Complete the registration within your authenticator app and enter the 6-digit code provided in your authenticator app to complete registration within GovDash. 4. This helps protect your account even if your login token is compromised. --- ## Logging in with 2FA To login with 2FA: 1. First, enter your email address at the [login prompt](https://dashboard.govdash.us/login). 2. Enter your emailed one-time passcode. 3. Next, enter your 6-digit code from your authenticator. --- ## Recovering/Disabling Your Authenticator ### Using Your Recovery Code If you’ve lost access to your authenticator, you can disable it using your recovery code from the login process using the **Lost access to your authenticator?** option. This will request your recovery code, which will disable and remove 2FA from your account. ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/104c3542-bffe-46a6-901f-aa7a848851a4/Images/Documentation/image(930).png) ### Using Your Authenticator To disable 2FA on your account using your authenticator, simply click **Disable** in the [Security settings](https://dashboard.govdash.us/settings/security), enter your 6-digit authenticator code, and your authenticator will be successfully removed from your account. ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/104c3542-bffe-46a6-901f-aa7a848851a4/Images/Documentation/image(931).png) > [!WARNING] > Need Assistance? > > If you’re having issues setting up or recovering your account/disabling your authenticator, please reach out to us at support@govdash.com for assistance.
