If you're experiencing issues getting the Dash add-in to start within your supported Microsoft application, please try these troubleshooting steps. If you're still experiencing issues, please reach out to us right away and we'll be happy to help get your issues resolved.


Dash add-in shows a grey loading wheel and doesn't load

If you are seeing this behavior, your version of Microsoft application may not supported by the Dash add-in. Microsoft does not provide support in certain versions of Microsoft Office for the features that the add-in provides.

Supported Word Versions

The Dash add-in supports the following versions of Microsoft Office:

  • Microsoft Office 2016 (Retail)

  • Microsoft Office 2019 (Retail)

  • Microsoft Office 2021 (Retail/Volume-Licensed)

  • Microsoft 365


Dash add-in is looping back to the login screen when I try to sign in/Clearing Office Cache

If you try to sign into the Dash add-in using your email address and the one-time code provided by GovDash and you're sent back to the login screen, please try clearing your cache using the steps below.

  1. Close all of your Microsoft Office applications

  2. Copy the following folder path to your clipboard

    %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\WEF\

  3. Open your File Explorer by clicking the folder icon on your task bar


  4. Paste the folder path from step 2 into the address field at the top of the window, and press Enter on your keyboard


  5. Select the folder webview2 and delete the folder


  6. You can delete the folder by pressing Delete on the keyboard or right-clicking on the folder and selecting Delete from the drop-down menu

  7. Open your supported Microsoft Office application

  8. Try the Dash add-in sign in again

Proposal Table of Contents Is Not Showing Accurate Page Numbers

If the proposal that you've downloaded from GovDash is not showing accurate page numbers within the table of contents, please follow the steps listed below to update the table of contents within your document.

Please Note

An update to Microsoft Word/365 was released that is causing issues for some users where the table of contents will show all sections on Page 1. Following the steps below will resolve the issue until an update is released by Microsoft to fix the overall issue. Thank you for your patience!

After opening your proposal in Microsoft Word:

  1. Select the table of contents that needs to be updated

  2. Click the References tab along the top of Microsoft Word

  3. Select the Update Table button displayed within the Table of Contents section of the ribbon

  4. Select the Update entire table option, and click OK

This will update your selected table of contents within your proposal document to accurately reflect the sections and page numbers.
