How Do I Get My Template Uploaded to GovDash?

In order to get your template ready for use within GovDash, our support team must convert it for use. Please read about the template format, style, and file type requirements below in order for your template to be successfully converted by our team.

Template Requirements

Your template must meet the following criteria:

  • Be formatted in the .docx file type. We cannot utilize PDFs at this time.

  • Include your document styles, such as headings, heading numbering, colors, etc.

  • Your headings must be connected to the Heading styles (Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, etc.)

  • For proposal sections and subsections to include numbers, your Heading styles must include numbers.

  • Include your headers and footers.

Template Examples

If you have a previously submitted proposal that has the stylistic elements mentioned above, this can be used as a foundation for our team during processing.

We can also use the template that you normally use when starting to write a proposal.

Template Processing

GovDash processes your template by replacing specific text within your template with tags that our system checks for when generating your proposal, and replaces those tags with content that’s relevant and referenced within the solicitation.

For example, we place tags for solicitation titles, solicitation numbers, buyer information, and more.
