How to Use the GovDash Word Assistant
The GovDash Word Assistant has many incredible AI-based functions to assist you with your proposal content formatting, writing improvements, and graphics creations, to name a few. The Word Assistant can help you:
Substantiate Claims
Being able to substantiate your claims within your proposal is key to showing that you're doing what you say you're doing. GovDash helps you accomplish this by using your past performance to substantiate your text, all in the background!
To use this feature, begin highlighting the block of text you wish to substantiate, and click the Substantiate button in the Word Assistant.
GovDash will provide you with text to review. You can refine or change something about the response by sending a follow up message to Word Assistant, such as asking it to format the text differently, focus on something specific, or reword to be more concise. Once you're happy with the results, use the Insert button to replace the original highlighted text with the text that GovDash provided, or the Copy button to copy it to your clipboard.
Shorten Text
Character limits within proposals can be a real challenge, but the Word Assistant can shorten any text within your proposal document at the click of a button. Simply highlight the text you wish to shorten, and then click the Shorten button in the Word Assistant.

Once you've got the text selected that you wish to convert, click the Convert to Table button in the Word Assistant window.
GovDash will examine the text and apply the most appropriate formatting for the selected text automatically. After clicking Insert to either replace the highlighted text or insert it into your document, you can make any adjustments that you'd like! You can also ask follow up questions or provide follow up prompts in the conversation box in the Word Assistant.
Convert Text to Graphics
The Word Assistant has the ability to create eye-catching graphics based on text within your proposal document, all utilizing Microsoft’s SmartArt functionality in Microsoft Word. It can create graphics in the following styles:

Cycle
Matrix

Suggested (GovDash will choose the best format)
Once you have a section of text highlighted that you wish to use as the foundation of the graphic, click the Convert to Graphic button in the Word Assistant window. You will be greeted with the aforementioned format styles to choose from.
Once you have chosen your style, GovDash will generate the graphic and allow you to insert it into your proposal by clicking Insert. The graphic that GovDash inserts is fully editable and not just a static image, allowing you to make adjustments after it has been inserted into your proposal.
