The GovDash Word Assistant graphic generation is a powerful tool that can bring your proposal text to life in eye catching visuals. Microsoft's SmartArt can amplify those visuals through format, color, and perspective changes to truly set your proposal presentation apart from the competition.

Once you have generated your graphic using the GovDash Word Assistant and inserted it in your proposal document, click on your inserted graphic and you can start using SmartArt by clicking the SmartArt Design tab at the top of Microsoft Word.

Within the SmartArt Design tab, you'll have several tools to help you customize the format of your graphic. Starting from left to right, you can:

  • Add Shape to add a new shape to your graphic. The drop down menu allows you insert the shapes at different stages within the graphic.

  • Add Bullet allows you to add bullets to the text within the graphic.

  • Text Pane brings up the text editor for the text within your graphic from a birds-eye side menu, useful for making sweeping changes to the text and formatting.

  • You can also Promote and Demote steps to nest within other steps.

  • You can change the order of the graphic's steps from Right to Left.

  • You're able to Move Up or Move Down steps within the graphic.

  • If you're using the Hierarchy graphic, you can change the layout from the Layout menu.

If you want to change the color of any of the elements within the graphic, you can do so from the Change Colors menu.

Changing the style of the graphic can make all the difference within your document, which can be done within the SmartArt Styles section.

If you want to undo all of the changes you've made to the graphic, simply click Reset Graphic to set it back to the original formatting of the graphic inserted from the GovDash Word Assistant.
