Creating and Managing Custom Prompts

Creating Prompts in Dash

There are multiple ways to create a custom prompt using Dash:

  1. If you’ve already sent a prompt to Dash that you would like to save, right-click on the prompt within the chat and choose Save prompt from the menu. Provide your prompt with a title and an optional tag, adjust your prompt if needed, and click Create to save it.

  2. Select the icon in the Dash chat window and click the Create button. Provide your prompt with a title and an optional tag, enter your prompt, and click Create again to save it.

Creating Prompts in Settings

Within the Dash Settings page, select the icon next to the Prompt column within the Prompts box at the bottom of the page. Provide your prompt with a title and an optional tag, enter your prompt, and click Create to save it.

ProTeam Recommended Prompts

GovDash provides you with ProTeam Recommended prompts, which are prompts that are curated and tested by our ProTeam Account Managers. These prompts span many workflows from capture to delivery, so we highly recommend giving them a try.

You can add these prompts to your prompt library by selecting the Add button next to the prompt you’d like to add. The recommendations are categorized by tags so you can easily see which area of GovDash and workflow they are intended to be used in.

Tagging Prompts

Tags allow you to easily categorize your prompts and provide structure for easy recallability. To create your tags, select the icon next to the Tags column within the Prompts box at the bottom of the page.

Next, enter your tag name1 and select your desired color for the tag2. You may also create tags under parent level tags3 to provide additional structure to your categories.

Using Custom Prompts

To use your custom prompts, simply open Dash/Word Assistant and select the icon within the Dash chat window1 at the bottom. You will be presented with your list of prompts2, which you can easily filter using the Filter tags option3. From here, you can also edit or delete your tags using the action menu4 that appears when hovering over your prompt.

By selecting your prompt, it will auto-fill the chat window with your selected prompt, which you are free to adjust or send when ready.
