Customizing Task Statuses

Within the Capture Cloud Settings, you can fully customize the task Kanban phases by name and icon. You can add additional statuses here as well!


Task Templates

Task templates allow you to setup a pre-defined set of tasks that can be applied to an opportunity, which saves you time having to recreate the tasks for each opportunity. To set up a Task template, navigate to the Task Template section under the Capture Cloud Settings.

Adding Templates

To add a new template, click Add Template and provide your template a name. Next, create your tasks and sub tasks as needed, with optional settings for pre-defined statuses, assignments, urgency, and start and due date offsets. You can optionally set any template as your default template so that it will be applied to all newly added opportunities in your Pipeline.

You can manage your saved templates at any time by selecting the Manage button next to your saved template.

Assigning Templates

Capture Templates

To assign a template to any Capture opportunity, navigate to the Activity tab of your opportunity, and the Tasks subtab. Select Apply Template in the top right, and choose your desired template.

This will apply your template to the opportunity, and all tasks associated with the template will be created as configured.

Non-Capture Templates

For any non-Capture templates (including Proposal, Contract, Pricer, etc.), setting your template as the default template for that area of GovDash will automatically create the associated tasks for that template. For example:

  • For Contract templates — when a new contract is created

  • For Proposal templates — when a new proposal is created

  • For Pricer templates — when a new Pricer workbook is created
