Customizing the Pipeline

Changing Views

The pipeline provides two views for you to use based on your preference, a Kanban board style view, and a Table view. You are able to set your individual preference through the Set Default button, which will be saved as your default each time you visit the pipeline.

Kanban View

The Kanban board view displays the different stages of an opportunity on the board, facilitating easy tracking of progress from start to completion. To move opportunities, simply click and drag your opportunity to the phase of your choice.

You can change the visible columns using the Customize Kanban drop down in the top right, as well as which order they display in.

Table View

The Table view displays your opportunities in rows, and the details of those opportunities in columns. From this view you're able to select your role in the opportunity (Prime vs Sub) and the Contract Type, and the phase the opportunity is in.

You can change the visible columns using the Customize Columns drop down in the top right, as well as which order they display in.

Adding and Managing Custom Fields

To add custom fields within your opportunity Overview tab, click the Settings gear in the top right of the Pipeline.

To create a custom field, click Create your first field if you’re creating a field for the first time, or Add Field if you’re creating new fields.

Next, assign your custom field a title, a type, and then click Create Field to add your custom field.

If you’d like to make any changes to any custom fields you’ve created, simply click the pencil icon on the custom field you want to make edits to, and Save Changes once you’re finished.

You can also re-order your custom fields within this menu, which will re-order the fields within your opportunity Overview tab.

Adding and Managing Custom Capture/Solution Questions

To add custom capture/solution questions that you can use within your opportunities, click the Settings gear in the top right of the Pipeline.

Under Custom Questions click + Add Question. After providing the text for the question, you can then choose which phase the question will reside under. Finally, provide the purpose, goal, and desired impact of the answer to that question in the subsequent fields. These are important pieces to include as this helps GovDash understand the context of your question.

Once created, your question will be listed under the Custom tab within the phase you assigned the question to, as shown below.

To make changes to any of your questions, navigate back to Settings > Capture Cloud, click your question, and make your changes. You may also delete any question you’d like by clicking the trash can icon on the question.
