Assigning Reviewers

To begin a Gate Review of a phase, assign reviewers from your team using the Reviewers drop down in the top left. You may change your assigned reviewers at any point, which will add or remove reviewers from an approval phase. Reviewers that are assigned will receive an email with a link to the opportunity’s review page.

Review Phase

Once you’ve assigned reviewers and want to start the review process, click Start under the phase you want to review, which will change the review status to In Progress. Moving a review to the In Review status by clicking the Mark as In Review button will request an approval from all currently assigned reviewers.

Approvals

Each assigned reviewer will need to approve the review in order for the process to continue, but only one rejection will move the review into the Rejected status.

Reviewers can quickly review the questions within a phase by selecting the icon next to the questions answered count within the phase status box, which will take them to the relevant phase’s questions.

Once approved, the reviewer(s) must mark the phase as complete in order to move on to the next gate review and phase. They may also rescind their approval in case they approved by accident.

Generating Review Presentations

Generating reviews provides an overview presentation of the current phase, and all previously approved phases, in an easily digestible format. This review provides you and your team with the key opportunity details, the number of capture questions answered, answers recorded by your team to the capture questions, current review progress and the list of reviews, and more.

To generate a review, simply click the Generate Review button within the current phase. This will generate a presentation within the current phase and place it within the Past Gate Reviews section for your viewing. Anyone can generate a review at any point, it is not limited to approvers assigned to the Gate Review.

Important

After each gate review has been approved, a presentation will be automatically generated, so you do not need to generate one manually.

You can view any generated review’s presentation by clicking the View Presentation button located under the Past Gate Reviews heading as shown below. This will include all of the questions and comments from the phase.

Within each phase’s presentation, comments can be made to individual questions, allowing your team to collaborate within the review in GovDash.

At any point during the review process, you can mark the opportunity as No Bid if it is determined by your team that you no longer wish to pursue the opportunity.
